Sometime in the early spring, Taylor suggested that we go to Minnesota for Mothers Day. As we thought more about it, we decided that waiting until Memorial Day Weekend would allow us to maximize our time there. Taylor also knew that, once the word got around among his siblings that we were visiting, a party would ensue as more of his siblings came to town. And they did! Brad and Anne-Marie and kids drove out from Detroit to spend the weekend with the family. Kurt and Kirsten Johnston are already in the Twin Cities area, as is TJ Halverson. TJ's daughter Macy came out from Utah for the weekend as well. Kim and Clark Miller had to stay at home because Kim is due in June, and Ryan and Anna couldn't come. Still, we got to see many of Taylor's siblings and most of the nieces and nephews on the Halverson side! The kids flock to Taylor, saying, "Tell us a joke!" They know what he has to offer!
I was excited to see Minnesota in any season other than Thanksgiving gray. It was beautiful! So lush and green! It reminded us a lot of Indiana springtime, too. Made Taylor miss his home state a lot!
I got the kids to tape their noses up, piggy-style. Something the Rampton kids did once upon a time long ago....
