Haiti: The Decision

This morning my mom wrote:

Hi Kids,

Looks like your dad might be flying to Haiti tomorrow. He made contact with the church and they will fly him out of SLC tomorrow on Huntsman's Lear Jet with 3 other medical personnel. Pretty amazing. I'm happy he has this opportunity. He can't stand to watch the injuries on the TV and not be there doing something. This is still in formulative stage but things are moving very fast, so don't mention it to anyone else. Say a prayer and pass it on.

There goes our medical meeting and ski trip in Bend this weekend but this is tons more important. We can ski anytime...

A few hours later, Mom wrote this:

He's on his way to the Portland airport and Dixi and Judy will pick him up about 7:45 tonight and he'll stay with them. The latest is that the plane won't be ready to go until Saturday.
