The medical team left the airport in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and are on a bus going to Haiti now. It's a small 13 passenger bus and there are 20 of them plus the owner of the bus company. She is going cuz she knows how to get them over the border. Then there is a trailer and another small bus carrying all of their boxes of supplies.

Mark says it reminds him of some of his early trips into Ukraine like the time an ambulance came to Budapest to drive him and others to Uzhhorod. And the ambulance consisted of just an empty back with a wooden floor and one wooden bench. They put their suitcases in a pile on the floor. The driver was a chain smoker and during the trip, the can of extra gasoline spilled all over the floor and soaked the suitcases and Mark's shoes. He wondered why his feet were wet. The driver didn't smoke for the rest of the trip...
